About: Committee Charter

The NASA GSFC Earth Sciences Division (Code 610) Director of Earth Science Franco Einaudi has set the charter for the E&PO Committee as follows:

• Review the outreach activities (formal and informal education) across the division;
• Make recommendations on priorities for implementation within the Strategic Plan;
• Help coordinate activities with other groups outside the ESD, including those in Codes 600, 500, and 100 (Public Affairs);
• Assist in development of education and outreach plans for new proposals;
• Review and coordinate the ESD Web page development and maintenance;
• Develop a Speakers Bureau and a PowerPoint library of ESD projects and missions;
• Develop topical videos on Earth science themes in consultation with NASA's Public Affairs Office;
• Coordinate plans for the transition from NTSC to Digital Video; and
• Work with Code YO to make sure the ESD's suite of formal and informal educational outreach programs, products, and partnerships meets NASA Headquarters' requirements
